| Located in the upper reaches of Qiantangjiang River, the Qiandaohu Lake is a national scenic spot, which ranges from Fuyang to Chun'an. It is a golden tourist line in the west of Zhejiang. It is famous for the beautiful mountains over its banks and the clear waters. There are many places of historic interest and scenic beauty along the river. There is the hometown of Sunquan, who was the king of Wu, during the period of the Three Kingdoms (220-265 AD). Also the Fuyang Longmen ancient town, where the descendants of Sunquan gathered. And there is the Tongjun Mountains, the Yanziling Diaoyu Platform, the Guanshan Mountains, the Yao Lin Paradise, as well as the "Happy Peasants", the tourist district with features in Xinsha Island of Fuyang. The Qiandaohu Lake is a large man-made reservoir on the upper reaches of the Xin'anjiang River, having 1078 islands of different size. With the deepest place reaching more than 100 meters under the water, the lake covers an area of 580 square kilometers, and has a storage capacity of 17.8 billion cubic meters, the same as that of 3,000 West Lakes. It is celebrated for the lofty mountains, clear waters, as well as the scattered and magnetic islands. Not only likes the Taihu Lake, a vast expanse of misty, rolling waters, but also the beautiful West Lake.
