Who we are

ichina.com is a website about Chinese-language videos and culture. You can reach us at contact@ichina.com.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name or email unless you write to us. Like most websites, our web server keeps standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of visit) for security and troubleshooting.

We set a small first-party cookie to count unique visitors. It contains no personal information. Our video pages also store a list of recently played video IDs in your browser (localStorage) so the same video is not shown twice. You can clear both at any time in your browser settings.

Embedded videos

Videos are embedded from YouTube. When you play one, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at www.aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent message (through Google's certified consent management) before personalized ads or cookies are used.

Affiliate links

Some links (for example to Amazon or NordVPN) are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new date.
